ARSENAL IN POLE POSITION FOR FOURTH SPOT

Fourth spot has proven to be one of the most contested positions in the Premier League this season. As a matter of fact, the race to finish in the top-four spots has been more exciting than the title race.

Arsenal are in a very good position on the league table and also have games in hand over their rivals for a place in the top four. The Gunners could seal a Champions League spot via the Premier League's top-four for the first time since the Arsene Wenger era at the club. Arsene Wenger had a very good top-four record during his time as the Arsenal manager.

Arsene Wenger led Arsenal to finish in the Champions League places for almost two decades in quick succession. The Frenchman missed out on a top-four spot in the final two seasons of his career at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have had to be patient over the past few years as they missed out on Champions League football regularly. Their last appearance in the Champions League was five seasons ago.
As things stand on the Premier League table, Arsenal are in a very good place. They are in sixth spot having won their last three league games and are just two points off Manchester United in fourth spot. London rivals West Ham United are in fifth spot, but they are just above the Gunners on goal difference. Arsenal have played three games less than both West Ham United and Manchester United.
North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are in seventh spot and three points adrift of Arsenal despite playing one more game than the Gunners. Wolverhampton Wanderers are the last team fighting for a top-four spot in eighth position and they have five points less than Arsenal having played two games more. Wolves dropped two eighth spot after losing three of their last four league matches.
