Mikel Arteta is capable of becoming the top manager of Arsenal and he will be having a lot of improvements and works to do says, Alan Smith. He was appointed as the manager of the club in December and before he worked on Manchester City as the number two of Pep Guardiola for three years.

When Arteta was appointed as the manager, Arsenal has started the Premier League from the wrong side and they are currently placed in the ninth position. Arteta was quick to imply his methods in the club and this has raised the confidence of the team. The results will not be shown in immediate effect but the changes can be visible in the club.
In 2020, Arsenal have not a single match before the league was suspended due to coronavirus. In the last seven matches played by them, they have won five matches earning five clean sheets in the season.

With the Premier League to restart on June 17, there is a chance that they can make to the first four of the league’s table. They are currently eight points away from the fourth position. Former Arsenal player, Alan Smith is happy with the achievements of Arteta on the club. He can see that the coach is capable of bringing out a team which will benefit the club in the present as well as in the future.

Smith told Sky Sports that Arteta has a lot of work to do and make all the wrong things to the right ones. To take over a club in the middle of the season is a tough one but better organisation can be seen on the team when they are on the pitch. The club definitely has many drawbacks but they can make it right, the team can find a spot to the Champions League. Smith has faith in Arteta on him being manger and believes that he will become the top manager of Arsenal.

But he is a coach who can improve the players that he has got. He has got this raft of youngsters coming through from the youth team and I think he will be keen to work with them. They’ve got that hunger and energy,” said Smith.
