Mauricio Pochettino believes that Tottenham’s new signing Son Heung-min has the potential

Mauricio Pochettino believes that Tottenham’s new signing Son Heung-min has the potential to be an important player for the club going forward.

After deciding to part company with both Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor in the summer, the club needed to make some signings in the striking department in order to avoid an overreliance on striker Harry Kane. After an impressive campaign last time around, Kane has been struggling to keep up with his impressive goals to game ratio. In fact, he has not scored in six league appearances so far this season. This is a cause for concern for the club, but it seems that Son Heung-min has the potential to step up.

Spurs have once again been involved in the Europa league and they were in danger of suffering a defeat when they were trailing to Qarabag a few days ago. However,Son scored some vital goals to help Spurs get a 3-1 win. He has now followed that up with the only goal of the game in the game against Crystal Palace on Sunday. As a result, Spurs remain one of the few unbeaten teams in the Premier League. It gives them a huge amount of confidence going into the next game against Arsenal, which will also be at White Hart Lane.

"[Can Son be] Another hero? Yes, why not! Against Qarabag he scored twice and now he scored the winning goal. The energy he showed was amazing and because of that I think our supporters are very happy with him. Son is a player that we followed for a long time. He can play in lots of different positions in attack. At all clubs, when you sign a player the expectation is big, and I'm happy because he's scored twice on Thursday and again today,” said the Spurs manager.
